Small commercial and new builds · Dungog, Gresford & the Hunter
House rewires.
Older houses in the district can still have cloth-covered or rubber-insulated cable, cotton-wrapped wiring in the ceiling, or a mix of fifty years of partial fixes. At some point the honest answer is a rewire: new cable throughout, new switchboard, and a house that's safe and certified for the next fifty years.

In short
A house rewire replaces old or unsafe wiring throughout a home with new cable, a new switchboard and safety switches on every circuit. We rewire older homes across Dungog, Gresford and the Hunter, room by room, often alongside a renovation.

Questions about house rewires
How do I know if my house needs a rewire?
Cloth or rubber-covered cable, wiring you can't identify, frequent tripping, warm outlets or flickering across the whole house. A pre-purchase inspection may flag it too. Kayden can assess it and tell you whether repairs will do.
Can I stay in the house during a rewire?
Usually, yes. Kayden plans it room by room and keeps power on to the rest of the house where he can.
Is it better to rewire during a renovation?
Yes, if one is planned. With walls and ceilings open a rewire is quicker and cheaper, and there's less patching afterwards.
